A Christian is a person who puts their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. They believe that Jesus took the penalty for their sins by dying on the cross and then rising from the dead to take their burdens of sin off of their shoulders and that He overcame sin and has saved them from it. They also believe that they have a special place after they die for themselves and other Christians called Heaven to be with God forever. The Bible is one of the greatest sources to find trustworthy accounts on these events concerning Jesus’ death and resurrection. Some of the verses that mention that in the Bible are Matthew 20:17-19, Luke 23:44-47, Mark 16:5-7, and Luke 24:1-12…
I consider myself a Christian. I gave my life to Christ not long ago and I put my faith in him. I plan on getting baptized within this year because I feel the need and longing to. Although I have been through some ups and downs in my faith, I still love and serve the Lord.
Our son, Jacob, went to be in the presence of God shortly after his 16th birthday. If you’re reading this, God is nudging on your life and on your heart… You get yet another day to make an eternal decision! Literally between life and death. Do you know where you will spend eternity(!) when the cold grip of death comes? And it will come for us all.
Know God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and have the assurance of eternity. In the gospel of John we read: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
How can you know you are saved? “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household” Acts 16:31
